Wow. Ok. Sooo let's be real now. I think that we're all in the part of the semester where the realization that exams are coming kicks in and that this is our last chance to pull up first-semester grades. And this brings worry. And stress. Much stress.
It can be so easy to focus on the things of this world at times! So many things are emphasized for us to do: get good grades, pick the right college, go outside and be involved in your community! And although all these things are important, without Jesus they are MEANINGLESS.
Without Jesus, those grades are meaningless. Without Jesus, those activities are meaningless. Without Jesus, those friendships are meaningless. But why?
King Solomon mentions the word meaningless a lot in the bible, in the book of Ecclesiastes. King Solomon was the Son of King David, and he ruled over Israel for over 40 years. He was blessed with great wisdom, and over his time was able to build many temples, start many projects, and gain a vast amount of wealth. But in the end, he says that without God, it was all meaningless. (Ecclesiastes 1:2 NIV)
It was all meaningless because it was all temporary. King Solomon knew that when his life was over, none of these things would matter, for those things would all leave him. But he knew something that would NEVER leave him, and that is God's love. By putting God's love in the center of everything that we are and do, we give meaning to what we're doing, because we are living our lives the way that He intended, with God in the center. Only God can truly give our life any meaning. "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes." (Romans 1:16 NIV)

So now as we get ready soon to take those exams and face the distractions this world throws at us, let's remember to do our best to honor God in everything that we are and do. "So that we may lead other towards him, and live the life full of meaning that He intended for us to have. So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." (1 Corinthians 10:31)
Thank you so much for reading this y'all!! And remember that God will be with you as this new week continues and that He will guide you as long as you let Him.
