What Beauty Truly Is

Hey guys! What's up?! Make sure to leave me a comment down below on what your weekend plans are! I don't know about you guys, but I've been super excited to watch that new Avengers movie that just came out!

So the picture above is unedited, me without any makeup, hair done, etc. Just me. I wanted to use this picture to show y'all what this post is all about: True beauty. This post is going to be a bit shorter, and more raw and genuine. I want to be able to talk to you guys about something really close to my heart. Maybe we could even start a series of blog posts like this! Something like: Lets-get-real, or Heart-to-Heart? Thoughts? Let me know down below!
Anyway, so what I really want to talk to you guys about is something that I tend to think a lot about: beauty. Now wait, before you click out of this thinking that its going to be a rant about makeup or fashion or something, stay right here. Because its not.
I'm talking about true beauty. Real beauty. So frequently in our world today we get caught up with the idea of beauty. Of always having our makeup perfect and hair looking flawless and having the perfect body. When in reality, none of these things are what make us truly beautiful.
"Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." (Proverbs 31:30) But a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." True beauty comes from knowing that we are magnificent and beautiful and loved and created perfectly by our creator. Think about it, there is no one on this Earth that will ever be just like you! And that alone makes you so so SO beautiful and precious!
Plus imagine how boring it would be if everyone looked exactly alike! Can you say snooze-fest? So rock those curls, freckles, long legs, dimples, pixie cut, whatever it may be! When you bring yourself about confidently and lift yourself up high, it will inspire others around you to do the same. Be the change girl!
As I was putting on my makeup this morning, trying get my hair just right and pick out the perfect outfit, I realized how much more time I could dedicate to doing the things I love, to spending time with family and friends, to growing as a person if I just stopped focusing much on my appearance and on looking beautiful, but on being beautiful! So just be yourself and know how precious and loved you are by the Creator! For that is when your true beauty will shine through.
